User Guide
Welcome to the Bluefire Wireless calling service, the new global service for GSM mobile phones. Bluefire Wireless has been designed to dramatically reduce your roaming costs.

For our service to function properly, please ensure your phone is unlocked. When you originally purchased your phone from your network operator, it's likely that your operator "locked" your phone to prevent its use with other operators' SIM cards. If this is the case, please call your phone vendor and request an "unlock code". They should unlock the phone but there may be conditions or a cost associated with this. You can also purchase “unlock” codes for your phone from www.uniquephones.com

Your Bluefire Wireless service is ready to use. Follow the instructions below and you will be up and running in no time!

  • Your Global phone number will start with +44. This number is based in the United Kingdom and is printed on the SIM card.
  • Your US phone number will start with +1. This number is based in the United States.
  • Your PIN number is 4 digits long and is printed on the SIM card.

Turning your phone on in:
Rest of World – Enter 1 followed by your PIN number
US & Canada – Enter 2 followed by your PIN number

Recharge minutes anywhere, anytime!

  1. Online: Go to www.rechargeminutes.com and recharge your account.
  2. Direct from your phone: Dial 191 from your phone and press the send/answer key. Once connected to the recharge line, simply follow the prompts.

Making a Call OUTSIDE the United States or Canada

  1. Turn your phone on and when prompted for the PIN, enter 1 followed by your 4 digits PIN
  2. When the phone registers with an available network it is ready for use. Dial the country code (44 for the United Kingdom), area code and phone number Example: To call 0207-943-2772 in the UK you need to dial 442079432772
  3. Press the call key and please wait. Ignore any messages shown on your screen. You will be disconnected for 10 to 30 seconds, and then your phone will call back
  4. Answer the call normally. Your call will be connected after a few seconds. If your phone does not ring back, please try again. Make sure you have entered the correct phone number including the country code and wait for up to 60 seconds for your phone to call back.

Important: Always remember your PIN as you need to enter it into your mobile phone every time you turn your mobile phone on. If you enter your PIN incorrectly 3 times your mobile phone will be blocked. You must then enter the PUK to unblock it.

Receiving a Call
There are three ways family & friends can call you.

  1. They can dial your Global (44) number (Isle of Man rates apply for the caller). Family and friends in the UK calling you direct from a BT landline will pay only 13p per minute (peak) and 8p per minute (after 6pm), wherever you are. Many UK mobile networks include calls to Isle of Man numbers within their inclusive minute bundles, but family and friends should check with their mobile provider.
  2. They can dial your US number preceded by the international direct dialing prefix for the country they are calling from (A per minute surcharge applies to receive calls on your United States number depending on the country you are in).
  3. They can call you toll free (*A 39c per minute surcharge applies)
    1. They need to dial the following toll-free number for the country they are calling from:

    2. At the prompt, they enter your Global (44) or United States (1) number.

Please Note: Your US number remains active and will receive calls and text messages for up to nine months after the last use of the service, even if you have not activated US Calling.
