Quick Start Guide
BLUEFIRE WIRELESS GSM SIM card service

The SIM card connects you to our global network, enabling you to save money on GSM phone calls when traveling abroad. Insert the card into your phone, which should be unlocked (see separate document for further guidance, if required). Ensure your phone is fully charged. Switch on the phone and you are ready to go.

Making calls

  1. As your service is prepaid, you must have call credit on your account to make calls. There is $10 credit on it initially.
  2. Always dial numbers with the full international dialing code, even if you are calling within a country (for example +447872213682# in UK). On all phones you will need to put a # after the telephone number to get it to connect. To get a +, you may need to keep the key depressed until the + shows on the screen on most phones. You can also try making the call in the
    format 00447872213682#.
  3. After dialling the number, there may be a slight pause as our service rings you back to connect the call. Answer normally if it does this.
  4. You can contact Bluefire Customer Services by keying *100*# on your handset, or email customerservice@bluefirewireless.com. If you have a Bluefire phone, you may not need to use a #.

Managing your account

It is important to put in your details when you activate your card so you will know about all service upgrades. Go to www.bluefirewireless.com, click on LOG IN and then input your SIM number (which is your telephone number) in the form 447872213682, then Submit. You will be sent your password by SMS.

Checking your account balance

Dial *108*# to check your account balance. Alternatively, you can go to www.bluefirewireless.com and click on LOG IN, provided you have activated your account and got a password.

Recharging your account (adding credit)

You can recharge or add credit to your phone using a credit card by going to www.bluefirewireless.com and clicking on TOP UP. If you do not have access to the internet, call Customer Services by dialling *100*# and they will do it for you. When you have paid for the extra minutes, you will be given a PIN number to put into your phone in order to top-up your account. Alternatively, log in to your online Account Search page, click on TOP UP and submit the PIN.

Text messages

Your BLUEFIRE WIRELESS SIM supports standard text messaging (SMS) for incoming and outgoing messages. Always put the number in the form +447872213682 with no # at the end.

Troubleshooting

Go to www.bluefirewireless.com for troubleshooting advice.

Voicemail – using voicemail

Voicemail is automatically enabled on your account. An inbound caller will be directed to voicemail if you do not answer the call within 30 seconds, or if your phone is turned off. To retrieve your voicemail, you need to dial ‘*151*#’. To control voicemail, you have these options:

*151*# Access messages (plays in the order of lastreceived)
*122*# Turns voicemail on
*123*# Turns voicemail off (disables the function)
